Shared seats and limits

Check how many people you can invite and how seats work across teams.

For Studio 1.0.0

The names, email addresses, and team details shown are fictional examples for illustration.

Who can use this feature

Seat counts and limits are shown to users who can view the operating account or team’s plan and usage.

Before you start

Shared seats count people across all teams linked to the same subscription. Owners, workspace administrators, members and pending invitations are included. A person in several teams still counts once.

One person counts once across several teams

These numbers are illustrative. Check your current plan for the actual limit.

Step by step

  1. Switch to the team you want to check

Select the team at the top, then open Workspace.

  2. Check shared seats in Team members

Shared seats shows used seats / limit. Active members and pending invitations describe this team, while shared seats cover all teams linked to the subscription.

9/10 covers all linked teams. The six members and two pending invitations below describe only this team, so the counts may differ. Enlarge image ↗
  3. Review your plan and limit together

Open full plan usage to check the plan and limits. Owners go to Plans & billing; members go to Plan & usage. Ask the owner if a plan change is needed.

  4. Review invitations and membership if seats are full

Cancel unneeded invitations and review colleagues whose participation has ended. Confirm handover before removing access.

Check that you're done

Check used seats and the limit to decide whether you can invite someone. Refresh after making changes to confirm the count.

If you need help

Shared seats exceed team members? Check other teams, workspace administrators and pending invitations. Refresh if counts won't load. Ask the owner if the issue persists or you need a plan change.
