Open “Contact Us” and select “Enterprise” to discuss using Alioth Research in your organization. How do I contact support if my issue is not resolved?
In “Contact Us”, select the category that matches your inquiry and describe the screen and button you used, when the issue occurred, and the message shown on the screen. Choose “Using the service” for errors during use, “Account and login” for registration, verification, or password issues, and “Payments and refunds” for payment issues. If you attach a screenshot, hide participants’ responses, contact details, and payment information. Do not send passwords or verification links.

I have not received my registration verification email.
Check that the email address you registered with is correct, and check your spam and promotions folders. If the email is missing or the verification link has expired, follow the instructions on the sign-in screen to request another verification email. If you received several emails, use the most recent one. After verification, sign in with your registered email address and password.
Account and login
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, select “Forgot Password”, enter your registered email address, and select “Request reset link”. Open the link in the most recent reset email within 15 minutes, set a new password that differs from your previous one, and sign in again. If you cannot find the email, check your email address and spam folder. If the link has expired, request a new one. You can request another link once 15 minutes have passed since your last request.

Do I need to write every question from scratch?
You can write your own questions or select “Start from template”. Preview the template’s questions and edit the title, participant instructions, questions, and answer choices to suit your research purpose. To create something similar to existing research, select “Copy” from the research card’s more menu (⋮), then edit the new copy.
Creating research
What types of questions can I create?
You can use Choose one, Choose multiple, One-line answer, Long answer, Star rating, Score rating, Matrix question, and other question types. You can also specify whether an answer is required for each question.
Creating research
Can I show different questions depending on an answer?
In “Set logic”, specify an answer condition and destination to move to another question or end the response. Also check the “Default route” used when an answer does not meet a condition. Before distribution, try different answers in the branching simulation and preview to confirm that participants follow the intended question sequence.
Creating research
Are answers entered in the preview included in the actual results?
Preview responses are not saved as actual participation results. Use the preview to check questions, answer choices, required-answer messages, branching, and the completion screen.
Distribution and participation
Distribution and participation
How do I distribute my research?
Set the research status to “Ready”, then select “Add distribution” in “Distribute Research”. Use a link to share on websites, social media, or messaging apps; email to send each person in an address book their own participation link; or direct entry for an operator to enter responses from in-person interviews or paper surveys. You can add multiple distributions to one research project. A distribution must be “Active” to receive responses. Answers entered through direct entry are saved as actual responses, so use the preview for practice.
Distribution and participation
Can I set a participation period, response limit, or password?
For a link distribution, you can set start and end dates and times, a maximum participation count, and an access password. Check the distribution status and participation conditions before sharing. If you use a password, provide it to participants along with the link. To change conditions while a distribution is active, first select “Close”, then “Deactivate” to make it inactive, edit the conditions, and select “Start distribution” again.
Distribution and participation
The participation link I shared does not open.
First, check that you are using the link copied from the distribution card and that the distribution is “Active”. Participation may be restricted before the start time, after the end time, or when the maximum participation count has been reached. If an access password is set, check the password you entered. Participants who still cannot continue should contact the person who sent them the link.
Distribution and participation
How do I stop collecting responses?
In “Distribute Research”, open the distribution’s more menu (⋮) and select “Close”. Deleting a distribution also deletes its associated responses, and they cannot be recovered. To stop collecting responses while keeping them, use “Close”. To resume collection, select “Deactivate” for the closed distribution, check its conditions, and select “Start distribution”.
Results and export

Where can I view responses and statistics?
In “Participation Status”, select the research and distribution. Use “Participation timeline” to view participation trends, “Participation stats” for question-level statistics, and “Participation details” for answers to each question. If the results differ from what you expected, check the selected research, distribution, and participant information filters, then refresh.
Results and export
Can I download the results as an Excel file?
In “Participation Status”, you can use “Download Excel” in “Participation timeline”, “Participation stats”, and “Participation details”. Crosstab results can also be downloaded using the download button on the relevant card. Check the research, distribution, and participant information filters first. The timeline’s period selection applies only to participation trends. A response detail file includes all answers matching the current query conditions. If “Export access required” is shown, ask the team owner or administrator for access.
Teams and permissions
Teams and permissions
Can I manage research together with colleagues?
On a plan that supports teams, a team owner or administrator can select “Invite member” in “Workspace → Team members” to invite colleagues and assign roles. After accepting the invitation, colleagues can work together by selecting the same team workspace. The number of people you can invite is subject to your plan’s shared-seat limit. If the invitation button is unavailable, check the current member count and invitations awaiting acceptance.
Teams and permissions
I received a team invitation email. How do I join?
Open the link in the invitation email and sign in with an account using the same email address that was invited. If you do not have an account, sign up with that email address, complete email verification, and open the invitation link again. Check the team name and assigned role, select “Accept invitation”, and start working in the team workspace. If the invitation has expired, been canceled, or been declined, ask the team administrator for a new invitation.
Teams and permissions
I joined a team, but I cannot see the edit or download button.
First, check that you have selected the team workspace you want to work in at the top of the screen. Available features depend on your team role. Editors can create, edit, and distribute research and export results; analysts can view and export results; viewers can view them. If you cannot perform the task you need, ask the team administrator to change your role. You cannot change your own role. Subscriptions, payments, and refunds are managed by the billing account owner.

Can I start for free?
You can start with the FREE plan. See “Pricing” for the features and limits of each plan. In “Plan & billing” or “Plan & usage”, you can check the current workspace’s plan and its active research, participation response, and email usage. Check the workspace selected at the top of the screen and the current usage period.
Plans and billing
How do I start a paid subscription and check the payment result?
The billing account owner can subscribe to the desired plan in “Plan & billing”. Review the billing information and consent notices, select “Continue to checkout”, and check the currency, taxes, and final amount shown in checkout. After payment, check “Current plan” and “Payment & refund history”. If the update is still being verified, use “Check payment status” or refresh. If an order is awaiting payment, use “Continue payment” to complete the existing order.
Plans and billing
How do I stop the next automatic payment?
The billing account owner can select “Stop renewal” in “Plan & billing → Subscription settings”, review the access-ending notice, and submit the request. Afterwards, check the “Ending soon” status and “Access ends” date. If “Verifying that renewal has stopped” is shown, check again once the result has been confirmed. You can continue using the plan until the end of the current billing period. Stopping renewal does not automatically issue a refund. If you use TEAM, download any materials you need before access ends.
Plans and billing
How do I request a refund?
The billing account owner can select “Request refund” for the relevant payment in “Plan & billing → Payment & refund history”. Review the estimated refund, its calculation basis, and the notices about stopping renewal and ending paid access, then select “Submit refund request”. The estimate may change based on your usage when the request is accepted. Check the request and approval status and amount in “View refund history”. If “Review required” is shown, use “Contact support”. Approval and the actual return of funds may occur at different times. Download any materials you need before TEAM access ends.
Plans and billing
Where can I find a payment receipt?
The billing account owner can select “Receipt” for a completed payment in “Plan & billing → Payment & refund history”, then select “Open receipt” in the notice dialog. The external payment provider’s website opens in a new window. If it does not open, check your browser’s pop-up settings. Refund status and amounts can be checked separately using “View refund history” in “Payment & refund history”.
